Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and cut drywall panels to fit walls, ceilings, and openings
• Lift, position, and securely fasten drywall panels to wood or metal framing using screw guns
• Stagger and align seams to minimize finishing work and maximize structural integrity
• Install drywall on ceilings using lifts or with a partner
• Cut openings accurately for electrical boxes, HVAC penetrations, plumbing, and fixtures
• Inspect framing prior to hanging to identify issues
• Verify panel selection matches specifications for each application
• Collaborate with framers, finishers, and other trades to maintain production schedules
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Clean, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience hanging drywall, preferably in manufacturing or construction
• Proficiency with measuring, cutting, and fastening techniques
• Familiarity with drywall tools (screw guns, utility knives, rasps, T-squares, routers, drywall lifts)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overhead or on ladders for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
