Driver's Education Instructor

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive atmosphere and maintain discipline within the classroom setting
• Establish high student/instructor rapport and individualize curriculum to student experiences
• Prepare lesson plans, classroom materials, and necessary Job Corps forms
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms and manage student/staff hours, attendance, and evaluations
• Evaluate and record student progress and case notes in CIS
• Model appropriate employability skills and adhere to all safety practices
• Foster a safe environment free from harassment and intimidation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Maine driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Possession of a Class A Maine Driver's Ed Instructor License
• Experience working with diverse youth
