Driver Trainer

Responsibilities

• Deliver in house, periodic Driver CPC training
• Deliver training relating to drivers’ hours, tachographs, and WTD rules and regulations
• Provide new starter training and inductions
• Monitor and evaluate all training provided, assessing needs and ensuring requirements are met
• Report on driver performance using counselling and coaching techniques
• Maintain up to date and accurate records of all driver training
• Liaise with the Transport Management team to maximise training benefits
• Monitor driving standards and provide guidance to H&S, Transport, and HR departments
• Complete risk assessments and safe working practices for customer sites and delivery points

Requirements

• LGV C&E Driving Licence
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualified to Advanced driving level
