Driver Trainer and Assessor

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver local training schedules for new and existing employees and labour hire workers
• Conduct Verification of Competency (VoC) assessments for drivers regarding vehicle use and safe driving standards
• Train operational employees in mandatory health and safety training as per the company framework
• Maintain and standardize training by staying updated on national and local regulations and industry trends
• Ensure all training documentation is completed and stored according to company policy
• Provide monthly reporting on training completion and Verification of Competency status

Requirements

• Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
• Current HR license
• Proven industry-driving experience across a range of vehicles
• Clean driving record
• Experience delivering training and adult learning to a blue-collar workforce
• Capability to deliver Verification of Competency (VOC) training and assessments
• Confidence in delivering classroom-based training
• Ability to travel across the state and manage schedules independently

Preferred Qualifications

• HC or MC license
• Background in transport or waste management industries
