Driver Team Leader - Bulky Waste

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5T vehicle and perform daily safety checks and maintenance
• Lead the collection and removal of fly-tipped waste from highways across Bristol
• Manage the loading, unloading, and tipping of waste at approved facilities
• Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols, including safe lifting and PPE usage
• Use mobile IT equipment to complete daily paperwork and documentation
• Work flexibly across various services and locations including Hartcliffe, Avonmouth, and Albert Road

Requirements

• Full clean UK driving licence and CPC qualification
• Strong manual handling skills and experience in physically demanding environments
• Proficiency with mobile IT devices for recording work and following instructions
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and waste disposal processes
• Familiarity with Bristol geography, including streets, depots, and disposal facilities
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
