Driver Semi

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a tractor trailer combination vehicle to and from destinations, adhering to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
• Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of products in various settings, including uneven ground
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, and oil
• Verify delivery directions with plant personnel to ensure accurate arrival at customer job sites
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform minor roadside repairs as needed
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Acceptable CSA score
• No more than 3 moving violations within the previous 7 years
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition and subtraction)
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, including hearing tests and drug/alcohol screening

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual skills
