Driver Recruiter

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for drivers, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing via phone and in-person.
• Maintain a constant pool of prospective candidates through cold calling, email, and internet recruiting resources.
• Ensure compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Conduct background checks, perform road tests, and provide necessary driver training.
• Develop and present training/orientation programs and conduct monthly driver safety meetings.
• Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries, preparing and submitting required reports.
• Conduct and document facility safety inspections and assist in correcting deficiencies.
• Assist candidates with employment applications and ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably within the transportation industry.
• Proven experience hiring drivers across different US states.
• Strong expertise in HOS and DOT regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the trucking industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience specifically in driver training, recruitment, and safety compliance.
• At least three years of truck driving experience.
