Driver - Leading Hand

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of drivers while assisting the Operations Supervisor
• Set rosters and coordinate driver runs to ensure efficient operations
• Operate waste collection vehicles, such as sidearm or hook lift trucks
• Ensure all prestart checks are completed and drivers depart the depot on schedule
• Assist with training new drivers and supporting ongoing team development
• Complete all required records and paperwork accurately

Requirements

• Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence as a minimum
• Experience in the waste, transport, or logistics industry
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to have crucial conversations
• Solid understanding of safety and compliance procedures
• Basic computer and mobile technology skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
