Driver Labourer - Fleet

Responsibilities

• Transport HGVs (Class 1 or 2) to and from MOT test centres
• Perform vehicle shunting, including collecting and delivering customer vehicles for maintenance and washes
• Provide workshop support by assisting technicians, organising parts, and managing inventory
• Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tyre checks and minor adjustments like changing bulbs
• Manage administrative duties, including ensuring technician worksheets and parts are accurately captured
• Communicate effectively with DVSA examiners, customers, and internal colleagues

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
• Proven recent experience as a commercial driver
• Basic mechanical aptitude or a strong willingness to learn on the job
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, technicians, and examiners
• Good administrative capability to support workshop operations
• Flexibility with working hours to accommodate MOT test availability
