Driver - Filler

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and provide high-quality customer service, including unloading products and reloading empty cylinders.
• Drive vehicles for deliveries, cylinder handling, and shipping orders while performing AM/PM vehicle inspections.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete hazardous material shipping paperwork in accordance with DOT/TC regulations and placard vehicles accordingly.
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures.
• Perform visual, physical, and odor tests on cylinders to determine if repairs or retesting are required.
• Operate forklifts, cylinder scales, and other plant vehicles to load and unload products.
• Maintain quality control documentation and update inventory systems via computer.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED.
• 2 years of driving experience (or completion of a similar truck driver training course).
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Clean driving record with no preventable accidents or license suspensions in the past 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
