Driver Experience Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage driver performance, turnover, recruiting, safety, and compliance
• Manage hours of service and execute freight/loads to meet service standards
• Coach and develop drivers on communication, safe driving habits, and technology usage (ELDs and driver apps)
• Oversee driver recruiting, onboarding, and pipeline management
• Ensure driver file compliance, annual audits, and DOT regulation adherence
• Manage fleet safety responsibilities, including Lytx camera events and drug/alcohol testing
• Facilitate driver training, including Smith System instruction and simulator training
• Act as a first responder for critical events and manage incident investigations
• Handle ADP and Time and Attendance functions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the transportation industry
• Experience in planning, dispatch, or driver management highly desired
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• High level of analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work a Wednesday - Saturday schedule (1600 - 0400)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field
