Driver - Cylinder

Responsibilities

• Deliver industrial gas cylinders to customers, including unloading products and moving them to the point of use
• Reload empty cylinders onto the vehicle and accurately record quantities and styles of products
• Complete hazardous material shipping documentation in accordance with DOT/TC regulations
• Placard vehicles according to required hazardous material regulations and company standards
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders following established plant guidelines
• Perform visual, physical, and odor tests on cylinders to determine if repairs or retesting are required
• Operate forklifts, cylinder scales, and other plant vehicles to support warehouse and loading operations

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• Class B CDL
• At least two (2) years of driving experience
• Current Hazmat on CDL or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire
• Current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years

Preferred Qualifications

• More than two (2+) years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment
