Driver (Class A)

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial motor vehicles, including straight trucks, tractor-trailers, or double trailers, in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
• Deliver products or assets to customers and warehouses according to designated route schedules.
• Load and unload products at stops using 2-wheel carts or pallet jacks, which may include stocking and ordering.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, such as inspecting tires, fuel, and oil, to ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Maintain accurate daily paperwork, including log and trip records, in accordance with DOT guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and peers to report delivery delays or equipment issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL; a doubles endorsement may be required depending on the route.
• Must meet all DOT requirements and company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong computer skills and mathematical ability for calculating load sizes and recording measurements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high standards of punctuality and organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience driving a tractor-trailer, straight truck, or doubles trailer within the last 5 years.
