Driver and Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Drive EMCO truck (GMC 2500 with 20ft trailer) safely following company policy and provincial laws
• Pick up and load customer orders at the profit center
• Securely fasten loads to prevent damage or shifting
• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and report mechanical issues
• Maintain driver logbooks
• Handle shipping documents and understand GHS chemical labeling
• Unload products at destinations and obtain customer signatures
• Resolve shipment discrepancies with customers
• Identify potential sales opportunities during deliveries
• Support overall profit center activities and team tasks

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Previous experience in truck driving and deliveries preferred
• Knowledge of provincial motor vehicle laws and regulations
• Understanding of dangerous goods transportation laws
• Ability to operate material handling machinery
• Strong customer relationship skills
• Ability to work effectively under stress or in unexpected situations
