Driver Ambassador

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and straight box trucks for food pickups and deliveries
• Couple and secure tractor-trailers, including performing post-coupling inspections
• Perform complete circle checks and maintain inspection logs for assigned vehicles
• Deliver rescued food to member agencies following food safety and transportation regulations
• Load and unload products ensuring safe handling and secure placement
• Maintain accurate records of all food pickups, deliveries, and related documentation
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with agencies and donors

Requirements

• Valid AZ driver’s license
• Minimum 3 years of experience driving tractor-trailers and 10-speed automatic trucks
• Clean driver’s abstract for a minimum of 3 years
• Thorough knowledge of the GTA, specifically downtown Toronto
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and climb in/out of trucks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to undergo a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the social services sector
• Food Handling certificate
