Driver Academy for Women

Responsibilities

• Participate in an intensive 5-week paid training program to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
• Operate rear lift collection vehicles for the Container Deposit Scheme
• Perform loading and unloading duties of bottles and cans
• Deliver loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
• Maintain high levels of customer service and vehicle presentation
• Perform manual handling tasks as required

Requirements

• Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months
• Driving history with a maximum of 8 demerit points remaining
• Availability to work weekends
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
• Physical capability for high levels of manual handling
• A resilient attitude and commitment to safety

• Strong customer service ethics and communication skills
