Drinking Water Network Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on drinking water and sanitation networks, including excavation, leak repairs, and pipe installation.
• Manage water shutdowns and service restorations during technical interventions.
• Monitor the proper functioning of the water and wastewater networks in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley.
• Conduct water production monitoring, including chlorine testing, meter reading, and self-monitoring analyses.
• Prepare preventive cleaning campaigns and participate in leak detection sectorization.
• Maintain technical documentation by updating plans and writing intervention reports.
• Participate in the on-call rotation (astreinte) to ensure service continuity.

Requirements

• CAP/BEP in pipe construction/public works or BAC PRO in plumbing/public works (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar technical role.
• Valid Driving License B and BE.
• Ability to live near Chamonix to fulfill on-call duties (frequency of 1 week out of 5).
• Strong sense of organization, teamwork, and adaptability to mountain environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• CACES Mini-Pelle (Mini-excavator) certification.
• CATEC certification.
• Driving License C.
