About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the drill steel database, recording consumption, performance, and relevant technical information.
  • Perform inventory control and generate replenishment orders for drill steels based on contract needs.
  • Prepare reports, statistical charts, and performance analyses of drill steels to support technical decision-making.
  • Execute performance tests on drill string components and identify opportunities to increase service life.
  • Determine optimal bit sharpening intervals and drill string configurations based on ground conditions.
  • Operate bit sharpening and regrinding equipment, including accessories and consumables.
  • Provide technical field support to the Contract Manager to ensure timely, customer-oriented service.
  • Drive 4x4 vehicles as required by operations, adhering to all internal safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mining operations, rock drilling, or drill steel management.
  • Knowledge of TH and DTH drilling methods and applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data recording, control, and operational analysis.
  • Valid Category AI driver's license with experience driving 4x4 vehicles.
  • Basic technical English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Drillmaster or in an equivalent technical field support role.
  • Experience with specific bit sharpening equipment such as GM HG, BQ3, or GM Jazz.
  • Familiarity with drilling parameters including pressure, temperature, and ground conditions.
