Drilling Rig Foreman

Responsibilities

• Ensure all rig personnel and service providers comply with Saudi Aramco safety standards and requirements
• Supervise and oversee all operations performed on wells
• Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered
• Coordinate deliveries of materials to the well to ensure availability
• Ensure that contractor meets all requirements of his contract
• Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to ensure modern drilling practices are followed
• Approve contractor daily tour reports
• Ensure contractor rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime
• Ensure Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards are met regarding equipment, testing, and crew response

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in drilling and workover operations
• Adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
• Extensive knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques, and safety measures
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions
• Willingness to work in remote locations and harsh weather conditions
