About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure all rig personnel and service providers comply with client safety standards and requirements
- Supervise and oversee all operations performed on wells
- Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment during unusual situations
- Coordinate material deliveries to the well to ensure availability
- Ensure contractor meets all contract requirements
- Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to implement modern drilling practices
- Approve contractor daily tour reports
- Ensure rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime
- Ensure Blowout Prevention Standards are met regarding equipment, testing, and crew response
Requirements
- 13 years relevant experience in drilling and workover operations including supervisory experience
- OR a B.S. degree in Engineering with 7 years of experience in drilling and workover operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in challenging conditions and remote locations
- Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
