Drainage Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of drainage for highways, rail, and urban development projects
• Prepare DMRB design reports and technical specifications for stormwater drainage
• Manage day-to-day project tasks, including concept studies, detailed designs, and construction drawings
• Conduct flood risk assessments and surface water drainage strategies
• Liaise with UK offices to assist with fee proposals and project financial control
• Mentor and manage early-career professionals to ensure technical excellence
• Ensure all projects meet QA, CDM, sustainability, and HSE requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in drainage engineering
• Engineering degree from a recognized institution
• Proven experience working within a UK-based consultancy
• Proficiency in InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, or Causeway Flow
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and hydrological principles
• Ability to execute high-quality SuDS designs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aviation drainage projects
