Draftsman/Technical Documentation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and modify NCTE technical drawings using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
• Develop technical documentation including Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) packages, hardware lists, and site manuals
• Gather requirements from network and installation engineers to create installation design and as-built plans
• Maintain NCTE drawing and documentation libraries using various information sharing systems
• Travel to NCTE locations to survey proposed and existing installation sites

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in computer aided design and drafting with an emphasis on IT system design
• Expert level knowledge of AutoCAD (2D, 3D, and VBA)
• Expert level knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Advanced understanding of IT System design and drawing concepts
• Understanding of electrical and HVAC concepts related to IT installations
• Basic knowledge of US Government Tempest regulations
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and work on ladders
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the year

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Navy and industry best practices for technical IT drawing and design documentation
