Draftsman/Documentation Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain technical drawings, network diagrams, and system schematics using AutoCAD or Visio
• Translate engineering and network requirements into accurate technical documentation
• Maintain document configuration control, versioning, and baseline management per DoD standards
• Support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and change management processes
• Ensure documentation complies with Navy and program standards regarding security marking and distribution
• Collaborate with engineers and cybersecurity personnel to validate technical content
• Manage document repositories such as SharePoint and CMDBs

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Technical Writing, or related field
• Experience creating technical drawings, diagrams, and controlled documentation
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office Suite
• Familiarity with configuration management and document control processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs
• Familiarity with EIA-649 configuration management standards or ITIL processes
• Experience with network, system, or cybersecurity documentation
• Active Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance
