Draftsman (Piping)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed piping drawings, including layouts, piping plans, isometric drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Convert engineering sketches, redline markups, and design changes into precise CAD drawings.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, engineering revisions, and client comments.
• Ensure all technical drawings comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.
• Coordinate with piping engineers, construction teams, and document control to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Maintain a proper drawing register, revision control, and document tracking system.
• Support the preparation of piping drawing packages for construction and fabrication.
• Incorporate site modifications to ensure timely revisions that support ongoing site activities.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Piping, Drafting, Design Technology, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Piping Draftsman within the Oil & Gas or EPC sectors.
• Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping plans, and GA drawings.
• Deep understanding of piping systems, layout design, fabrication drawings, and installation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on ADNOC or GCC-based Oil & Gas projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, or similar 3D modeling tools.
• Familiarity with piping materials, supports, and valves.
