Draftsman - Interior Design

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings and layouts based on design concepts and client requirements
• Collaborate with interior designers to translate conceptual ideas into schematic and construction drawings
• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, furniture layouts, and intricate joinery details
• Create and revise shop drawings including ceiling plans, lighting layouts, finishes, and FF&E specifications
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and comply with relevant building codes
• Maintain accurate documentation and version control of all drawings throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to the upkeep of drawing libraries, design templates, and standard blocks

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a draughtsman in the interior design or architectural industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant 3D modeling and rendering software
• Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and building codes
• Excellent technical drawing accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-end residential and hospitality/commercial interior design projects
• Certification in project management or design software
