Drafter I - Product Development

Responsibilities

• Develop new drawings and 3D CAD models based on existing standards, sketches, and engineering input
• Apply drafting fundamentals including orthographic views, dimensioning practices, and scaling
• Measure physical parts using digital calipers to validate dimensions, materials, and tolerances
• Support product development by validating form, fit, and function within assemblies
• Maintain working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and building materials
• Establish and maintain drafting standards, including scalable and universal design inputs
• Partner with engineering and sales teams to refine designs and meet customer expectations
• Manage workload and timelines to meet project deadlines with a high level of accuracy

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or Drafting Certificate
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design and Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to interpret concepts and specifications into detailed technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and design integrity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor (3D CAD)
• Experience with Autodesk Vault
• Experience with 3D printing technologies
