Drafter (Civil)

Responsibilities

• Provide effective drafting services and assist in the production of schematic drawings for civil-related projects.
• Liaise with Project Management, Engineering, and Design teams to deliver drawings on time and to client specifications.
• Review drawings to ensure conformity with drafting specifications and quality management systems.
• Present drawings to production teams, clients, and consultants, preparing necessary adjustments.
• Employ computer-aided drafting and design systems to provide technical input for various civil projects.
• Assist with the preparation of accurate Bills of Quantities, including subdivisional infrastructure.
• Work with statutory authorities and comply with relevant council standards.
• Perform administrative tasks related to drawing production and project documentation.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a similar drafting position or related field.
• Completion of a Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit.
• Experience complying with quality management systems and design office work practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and apply theoretical drafting principles.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal hours occasionally to meet international time zone requirements.
