Donor Relations Associate

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for mid-level donors, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and handwritten notes
• Build authentic relationships to cultivate donor retention and support
• Assist donors with giving-related questions, gift processing, and account updates
• Manage recurring monthly donors and outreach related to failed payments
• Draft and refine communications including acknowledgments and stewardship messaging
• Assist with donor recruitment and outreach for national conferences and events
• Conduct donor research to identify strategic targets and funding opportunities
• Document donor interactions and maintain database hygiene in the CRM

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Elite organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Flawless written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office
• Strong commitment to TPUSA’s mission and principles
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CRM systems such as Virtuous or Salesforce
• Background in donor intelligence gathering or strategic research
• Prior experience in high-performance environments
