About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process incoming donations by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, hanging, and pricing items
- Complete customer transactions accurately using cash and debit sales
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
- Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation and removing old inventory from the sales floor
- Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including cleaning spills and clearing exits
- Monitor store security and activity to protect donated items and assets
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Experience in customer service or the processing and distribution of goods
- Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
- Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
