About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist domestic and family violence (D&FV) advice, coaching, and practice leadership to the Intensive Family Support team
  • Strengthen team capability through training, reflective practice, and guidance
  • Support high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centred case management
  • Work directly with families, including conducting home visits, to develop and implement effective case plans
  • Complete risk assessments and safety planning using the Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework
  • Deliver culturally safe practice, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
  • Build strong partnerships with community services and key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Specialist expertise in domestic and family violence
  • Experience in child protection and/or child, youth, and family services
  • Knowledge of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act and Child Protection Act
  • Experience delivering trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
  • Strong risk assessment, crisis response, and safety planning skills
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions
