About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive financial planning and execution, including funds execution, financial analysis, and budget formulation for an Army mission sustainment organization.
- Create financial transactions within the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
- Perform analysis on budget execution and financial data to inform decision-making and resource management.
- Assist with the coordination, preparation, and justification of the annual budget cycle, including schedules, briefings, and meetings.
- Prepare for dedicated organization funding in FY27 and across the FYDP.
- Collaborate with clients to assess budget management practices and implement business process improvements.
- Develop presentations of data results and findings from collection activities and evaluations.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three (3) years of experience in financial management, including at least one (1) year of consulting experience.
- Experience using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) for organizational financial transactions.
- Experience building and monitoring organizational annual spend plans.
- Experience developing, submitting, and defending POM inputs to Department of the Army program evaluation groups.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly when engaging with senior-level clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. Army financial management experience (prior service or consulting support).
- Master's Degree.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to research complex budget and accounting standards.
