DoD Budget Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Drive financial planning and execution, including funds execution, financial analysis, and budget formulation for an Army mission sustainment organization.
• Create financial transactions within the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
• Perform analysis on budget execution and financial data to inform decision-making and resource management.
• Assist with the coordination, preparation, and justification of the annual budget cycle, including schedules, briefings, and meetings.
• Prepare for dedicated organization funding in FY27 and across the FYDP.
• Collaborate with clients to assess budget management practices and implement business process improvements.
• Develop presentations of data results and findings from collection activities and evaluations.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Three (3) years of experience in financial management, including at least one (1) year of consulting experience.
• Experience using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) for organizational financial transactions.
• Experience building and monitoring organizational annual spend plans.
• Experience developing, submitting, and defending POM inputs to Department of the Army program evaluation groups.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly when engaging with senior-level clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• U.S. Army financial management experience (prior service or consulting support).
• Master's Degree.
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to research complex budget and accounting standards.
