Document Controller

Responsibilities

• Administer and lead the utilization of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) including Aconex, SharePoint, and Unifier
• Oversee workflows for RFIs, NCRs, material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements
• Ensure all project documentation adheres to the Document Management Plan and ISO 9001 standards
• Prepare for and lead document control during internal and external audits
• Generate comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports
• Maintain detailed logs and registers for all incoming and outgoing project correspondence
• Supervise junior document control staff and provide training on EDMS protocols
• Act as a primary point of contact for contractors and vendors regarding submission procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in document control and project coordination within the engineering or construction sectors
• Aconex certification is required
• Advanced proficiency in SharePoint, Unifier, and DocuSign
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East
• Deep understanding of the full project lifecycle from procurement through to project closeout
• Strong leadership and communication skills for multi-stakeholder environments
