About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize project documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and accessibility
  • Implement document control procedures in alignment with stakeholder standards and industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal policies
  • Track and manage document revisions, approvals, and distribution across project stakeholders
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure proper document flow
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders regarding document updates
  • Provide training and guidance on document control processes to project personnel
  • Utilize enterprise document management systems to store and retrieve project records
  • Ensure proper indexing and metadata tagging for efficient document retrieval
  • Support audits and inspections by maintaining organized and accessible records
  • Generate reports on document status, approvals, and outstanding actions
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure document integrity and compliance with project requirements
  • Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions and project closeout

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, project management, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on document controls experience on large (>$500M) heavy-civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience with construction documents including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence
  • Familiarity with ISO-based document control standards
  • Proficiency with enterprise document control systems (e.g., SharePoint, e-Builder, Procore, Aconex, Asite)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or project management
  • Experience with large-scale highways, roads, bridges, transit, or airport projects
  • Experience across multiple project lifecycle phases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other dashboard KPI reporting software
