About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee document control operations for large, complex Advanced Technology projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Define and implement document control strategies, processes, and standards to ensure scalable and compliant information management.
- Drive the integration of document management systems across engineering, procurement, construction, quality, and commissioning teams.
- Ensure accurate and controlled flow of drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and turnover documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop document control teams, establishing clear performance expectations and building organizational capability.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in document workflows.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting to enable data-driven decision-making and early identification of bottlenecks.
- Oversee audit readiness and project turnover activities to ensure complete and compliant project records.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in document control, records management, or project administration within construction, engineering, or industrial environments.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing or leading document control teams.
- Bachelor's degree in business, information management, construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with enterprise document management platforms such as InEight, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or SharePoint.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and strong digital acumen for managing large volumes of project information.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume documentation and complex workflows in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mission-critical, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
- Deep knowledge of revision control, records retention, and project turnover/closeout requirements.
