About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage airport operations, facilities maintenance, and HVAC systems for Dayton's aviation facilities, including Dayton International Airport and the downtown heliport.
- Ensure strict compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations to maintain certified carrier facility status.
- Oversee maintenance and new construction functions, including inspecting new construction for conformance with approved plans.
- Direct emergency response activities, including snow and ice removal from runways and taxiways, as well as responding to fires, power outages, and security threats.
- Prepare and oversee the division's operating and capital budgets.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the FAA, TSA, airlines, airport tenants, and other government agencies.
- Supervise Airport Operations and Maintenance Supervisors, Airfield Maintenance Supervisors, and Garage Maintenance Supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Airport Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Five years of experience in Airport Operations or five years of experience in Facilities Management.
- Valid driver's license.
