About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of digital solutions including advanced data analytics, machine learning, AI-enabled workflows, and vision systems.
- Drive the development of data-driven and prescriptive solutions to improve productivity, yield, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate a portfolio of digital workstreams across multiple manufacturing plants and functional groups.
- Ensure digital solutions are built on integrated, scalable data architectures connecting shop-floor systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) to analytics platforms.
- Establish a structured digital intake and prioritization framework to identify and evaluate high-impact opportunities.
- Define and enforce standards for data pipelines, quality, system interoperability, and reusable digital components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within cable or similar process industries.
- Proven experience leading digital, analytics, or process improvement initiatives.
- Technical proficiency with SQL, Databricks, and Python.
- Experience with industrial systems including PLCs, SCADA, and data historians.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and delivering cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing optimization or decision-support models.
- Familiarity with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) and machine learning applications in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as DMAIC, DESGN, or MEE.
