Division Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice regarding land acquisition, land use, entitlement, zoning, and development
• Review and draft contracts, title documents, and land development agreements
• Review and revise homebuyer contract documents and advise on RESPA and FHA/VA compliance
• Manage homeowner association documents and provide guidance on HOA issues
• Assist in managing division litigation and coordinate with outside counsel
• Advise Human Resources on employment policies, safety programs, and OSHA compliance
• Review subcontractor contracts and assist in resolving disputes
• Provide legal guidance regarding construction, warranty, and customer disputes

Requirements

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.)
• 5-7 years of legal experience or training
• Licensed attorney in good standing with the relevant state bar association
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
• Ability to travel overnight as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in corporate or environmental law
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
