About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching, recruiting, and administering the swimming and diving program.
- Implement coaching strategies to foster student-athletes' athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills.
- Plan and conduct practices and activities in preparation for competition.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies, including promotional materials, recruiting calls, and official visits.
- Manage the team budget and ensure all expenditures comply with university and NCAA regulations.
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling pool rentals, supervising lifeguard staff, and assisting with recreation center facility management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III regulations and experience organizing official visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current certification as an American Red Cross (or equivalent) Lifeguard Instructor.
- Proficiency with Hy-Tek Software and Divemeets.com.
