About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage district teams to maximize performance and achieve sales and budget targets
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help navigate the payer environment
- Screen, interview, and hire new candidates for the district
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments
- Provide coaching and counseling to prepare team members for future development
- Track the progress of marketing messages and programs
- Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Finance, and other Business Units
Requirements
- Doctorate with 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
- OR Master's with 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
- OR Bachelor's with 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
- OR Associate's with 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
- OR High school diploma with 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience
- 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, or programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of specialty sales experience
- Experience in biologics and the buy-and-bill model
- Ability to articulate clinical concepts, data, and conclusions to address customer objections
- Knowledge of local payer coverage and market trends
- Demonstrated success in communicating and collaborating with sales staff and peers
