About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage district teams to maximize performance and achieve sales and budget targets
  • Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help navigate the payer environment
  • Screen, interview, and hire new candidates for the district
  • Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments
  • Provide coaching and counseling to prepare team members for future development
  • Track the progress of marketing messages and programs
  • Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Finance, and other Business Units

Requirements

  • Doctorate with 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
  • OR Master's with 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
  • OR Bachelor's with 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
  • OR Associate's with 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
  • OR High school diploma with 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience
  • 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, or programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of specialty sales experience
  • Experience in biologics and the buy-and-bill model
  • Ability to articulate clinical concepts, data, and conclusions to address customer objections
  • Knowledge of local payer coverage and market trends
  • Demonstrated success in communicating and collaborating with sales staff and peers
