About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the distribution team in a safety-first environment, ensuring critical risk plans and STEP observation tools are implemented.
  • Optimize troublemen coverage and resource allocation across the metro area to ensure system reliability.
  • Manage capital splits, budgets, and the training and development of covered employees.
  • Oversee repair versus replace decisions, contractor utilization, and fatigue management.
  • Provide regular, constructive performance feedback and support employee personal development.
  • Partner with Engineering and other Distribution Supervisors to drive process efficiencies and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Manage storm restoration efforts and respond to high-profile customer events.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree is a plus).
  • Seven years of distribution construction and/or distribution experience.
  • Extensive experience in storm restoration.
  • Knowledge of NESC, OSHA regulations, and distribution construction standards.
  • Proven experience in performance management and holding teams accountable to expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to learn and utilize industry-specific applications such as ARMS, ARCOS, and JETS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both overhead and underground service maintenance and restoration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diversity and inclusion efforts within a technical team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional relationship management.
