Distribution Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of drivers using a hands-on leadership approach to ensure high performance and motivation.
• Ensure daily operations comply with Transport Canada, Health Canada, and company safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate deliveries in collaboration with Scheduling and Customer Service teams to meet customer demands.
• Manage daily employee activities, including performance monitoring, attendance, and training coordination.
• Maintain accurate reporting on inventories, expenses, maintenance, and performance metrics.
• Identify operational issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, schedules, and training.
• Manage equipment and vehicle maintenance issues, working with the National Distribution Team to optimize routes and efficiency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in distribution fleet management or route management.
• 2+ years of experience in employee management and development.
• Strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
• Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working or managing within a unionized environment.
• Proficiency with industry tools such as Roadnet, Accustar, JD Edwards, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
