Distribution & Recycling Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving of goods, including loading and off-loading trucks using powered and manual material handling equipment.
• Operate various types of forklifts and reach trucks to move, store, and replenish goods according to the warehouse layout.
• Inspect incoming goods for quality, damage, and expiry dates to ensure proper rotation and stock integrity.
• Sort, categorize, and build skids of fresh, frozen, and dry food and non-food items for delivery.
• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to record operations, conduct inventory reconciliation, and assist with cycle counting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent.
• Current Forklift Operator's Certificate.
• At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse or retail store environment.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in various environments, including freezers, refrigerators, and outdoor settings in winter.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict safety procedures and directions.
