Distribution Fleet Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the transportation private fleet, including routing, commercial operations, and driver scheduling.
• Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Manage staffing, including recruiting, interviewing, selection, and performance management of drivers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including DOT, OSHA, FDA, and EPA.
• Act as a liaison between customers, distribution, supply chain, sales, and external vendors to resolve delivery and billing inquiries.
• Monitor and maintain budget requirements and participate in forecasting processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments and third-party vendors to optimize transportation expenses.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of DOT or transportation experience, or relevant experience working with driver positions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and DOT on-board computers.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment and prioritize major improvement activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
