Distribution Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure system reliability and overall economics through engineering analysis and system planning
• Resolve technical questions and communicate line extension policies to members
• Design line extensions and improvements and coordinate construction execution
• Manage and monitor the Advanced Metering Information (AMI) platform
• Monitor and dispatch outages using Outage Management System (OMS) tools
• Investigate new technologies and conduct studies on system performance and power quality
• Develop standards for construction, materials, and engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, technology, or a related field
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in operations
• Familiarity with electric distribution line equipment and materials
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and OSHA standards
