Distribution Center Planner (Wave/Transportation)

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of outbound shipping schedules and wave planning
• Prepare outbound truckload shipping schedules for upcoming work days
• Monitor carrier on-time pickup performance and report issues to management
• Coordinate with DC Operations to ensure orders are processed to meet shipping schedules
• Assist operations teams in gathering data to estimate labor requirements
• Facilitate communication between transportation, operations, and customer service teams
• Expedite high-priority orders as needed
• Participate in continuous process improvement activities
• Develop proficiency in Transportation Management Systems and Distribution Management Systems (DM Plus)

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or 2-3 years of progressive distribution planning experience
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in planning and scheduling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong software proficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma experience
• APICS certification
