Distribution Center Outbound Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement efficient outbound operations by instructing employees and monitoring progress.
• Design and maintain truck yard organization, ensuring efficient trailer placement and safety protocol adherence.
• Lead warehouse associates by promoting engagement, empowerment, and proactive problem-solving.
• Investigate and resolve shipping errors in collaboration with DC management to mitigate future issues.
• Manage team scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak operational periods.
• Oversee the reconciliation of truck loads nightly to ensure accurate product loading.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Protect company assets by ensuring proper equipment maintenance and facility security.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 1+ years of experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 60 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to comply with all safety requirements and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a distribution center environment.
• 1+ years of proven experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Background in automotive or retail distribution centers.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools.
