Distribution Center Outbound Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement efficient outbound operations by instructing employees and monitoring progress.
• Design and maintain truck yard organization, including trailer management and safety protocols.
• Drive adherence to security and safety rules for picking, sorting, and truck loading procedures.
• Lead and mentor warehouse associates, fostering a culture of engagement and problem-solving.
• Manage team schedules to ensure peak period coverage and operational efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve shipping errors in collaboration with DC management.
• Oversee the reconciliation of truck loads nightly to ensure product accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 1+ years of experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 60 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to comply with all safety requirements and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a distribution center.
• 1+ year of proven experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Experience in automotive or retail distribution centers.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
