Distribution Center EH&S Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide daily EHS support for the Jackson Distribution Center during the 2nd shift
• Maintain an EHS management system to drive waste elimination and an accident-free culture
• Ensure 100% regulatory compliance with state and federal safety and health regulations
• Provide training regarding mandatory OSHA compliance, emergency response, and new hire safety orientation
• Investigate safety incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Implement programs focused on ergonomics, safe behaviors, and hazard identification
• Maintain site EHS management plans, including ISO certifications and emergency response processes
• Monitor leading indicator initiatives such as near-miss reporting and behavior-based safety

Requirements

• 3-5 years of EHS experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, and kneel regularly, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety or Environmental Sciences
