Distributed Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship high-performance distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, and data platforms.
• Design infrastructure capable of moving enormous volumes of data with real-time precision.
• Navigate different levels of abstraction, from low-level performance optimization to high-level architectural strategy.
• Lead and execute technical projects spanning backend systems, data infrastructure, and product.
• Work autonomously to solve complex challenges regarding scalability and system reliability.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and general systems fundamentals.
• Proven experience architecting or contributing to systems that handle distributed systems and large data volumes.
• Ability to solve complex challenges around scalability.
• A proactive willingness to figure things out in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Golang, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, ClickHouse, and cloud functions (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Experience building event-driven systems, trading systems, portfolio management, or accounting systems.
