Distinguished Technologist - Memory/Storage Utilization & Data Placement Architect

Responsibilities

• Architect memory and storage hierarchies including DRAM, SSD, and cache layers
• Define policies for data placement and movement across tiers for AI workloads
• Optimize paging, prefetching, and streaming for AI inference and training
• Partner with software teams to co-optimize models across memory and storage
• Develop long-term technology roadmaps for electrical hardware design and development
• Communicate strategy and technical roadmaps to executive staff and industry partners
• Provide design input and feedback for new product development across multiple organizations
• Mentor and guide less-experienced staff members in electrical hardware design and innovation

Requirements

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 12+ years of professional work experience
• Expertise in electrical design, hardware architecture, or electronic hardware architecture
• Deep understanding of memory and storage hierarchies
• Knowledge of AI workload optimization and data orchestration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)
• Proficiency with MATLAB and system simulations
• Experience in new product development and systems design
• Knowledge of emerging technologies like unified memory and memory pooling
